The smell of another home lay within the threads of the interior, and with two-and-a-half hours of work, nothing remained except the smell of shampoo and Armor-All products.
That’s right, I got the interior of my car all cleaned up! It looks like it’s brand new now! Now I just need some air fresheners to maintain “my smell”, and a few sprays of Febreze and I’m good to go in the interior department.
I have yet to get some proper sunglasses, but I intend on finding something decent soon for those sunrise or sunset drives.

Recently I found out one of my brake lights wasn’t coming on when the brakes were engaged, so I decided to switch from regular bulbs to LED bulbs. What a great choice! They are so bright and respond really fast, which is a great upgrade from the regular bulbs. Over time I intend to change the rest of the bulbs into LEDs. When I get the chance at night to have someone press my brakes, I may show how bright they are now. For now though, I love them.

Well it was a Thursday, and I was running around getting insurance, documentation, and registration done, when I made the trip to pick up the car. The drive there was a little intimidating as the rain was coming down quite heavily and thunder was roaring.
A little backstory here: I’ve never driven a manual shift car, and this was going to be not just my first car, but my first time driving manual. At this point I thought I was going to be driving it home in the rain in an unfamiliar neighbourhood and a nervous wreck. Somehow though, the rain stopped and I somehow picked up the whole manual shift thing pretty easily. I did manage to stall the car once or twice but nothing severe or dangerous. Luckily, I was driving it home early afternoon before any serious traffic built up.
The car needs a good wash and clean up, and my weekend will be filled with just that — washing and cleaning. Anyway, here are the photos I promised:

Tonight marks the start of my first ever… car! Yes that’s right, I finally got myself a set of wheels to call my own! I am quite ecstatic and thankful! The car is a silver 2003 Honda Civic SiR, with the HFP body kit and low clicks. The car was made in Swindon, England and is either loved or hated by Civic owners across the globe. I for one, love that it’s made in the UK. I think it adds character.
What a great find. Of all the cars I considered, this was by far the best, and I couldn’t have asked for a better previous owner. Everything went smooth and I’m picking up the car tomorrow! I hope I can get a good night’s rest despite being so excited!
When I finally finish university, I’m contemplating of giving the car the Euro treatment, the JDM treatment, or a little bit of both. I think a balance is good. Of course I’ll be posting photos of the car as soon as I receive it tomorrow provided the rain holds up, and I’m not too busy driving it around the block. I actually like how the gear shift is mounted on the dash, since I’m not the biggest fan of driving with just one hand on the wheel at all times.
Well I’ll keep you guys posted on the EP3 and whatever mods I happen to add to it.

Lewis Hamilton has persisted, and followed his rainy win in Britain with a fantastic win from pole in Germany this weekend. Go Hamilton! Now Lewis leads in the driver’s standings with 58 points over Felipe Massa’s 54 points. Kimi Raikkonen had a tough start, trying to find proper brake balance for his car which seemed to change depending on how much fuel was on board, but he finished sixth and is a respectable third in the driver’s standings.
The next race is in Hungary in two weeks, and I’d like to see Lewis capture another checkered flag to compliment the Union Jack on his McLaren-Mercedes.
